Stihl Shop

Modern Commercial Renovation in Nelson Industrial Building

A family owned syndicate in Nelson engaged us to transform a vacant industrial building—formerly occupied by vehicle repairers and spray painters—into a modern retail space secured by new anchor tenant Stihl Shop.

To maximize visibility and natural light for the showroom, we consolidated three separate tenancies into a single open-plan space, incorporating distinctive corner shop-front windows. The façade was revitalized with corporate signage on a new Titan Board Expressed Joint Parapet, while the remaining street-facing and access lane walls were reclad in Roofdek and painted in corporate brand colours.

All windows and doors were replaced with contemporary aluminum joinery. A bold cantilevered canopy now defines the main entrance, paired with an automatic sliding door for seamless customer access. Aluminum vertical battens were added to accent material transitions and upgrade aesthetic appeal.

Inside, the existing workshop‑grade concrete floor—once oily from industrial use—was ground down, polished, and sealed, creating a durable and attractive finish. A 3 m high suspended ceiling and freshly painted walls bring brightness and a professional ambiance, ideal for showcasing equipment. Staff amenities were also fully upgraded to modern commercial standards.

This full-scale commercial renovation in Nelson delivers a striking and functional retail environment—enhancing street presence, customer experience, and operational efficiency for the Stihl Shop.
