Arnold House

The Owners of this corner sloping site wanted to build a “spec house” that is contemporary. The slope of the site is such that a single level house with basement garage was possible. A 3 bedroom home with flat level access from the road was achieved. From the Entry you flow through the Kitchen/Dining/Family area into the Lounge and the rest of the house. The Master Bedroom has an Ensuite and the other Bedrooms share the main Bathroom.

Linea weatherboard was asked for by the Owners and Expressed Joint Titan board was used as a contrast at the Entry and front corner of the house. A mono pitch roof was used. As the view of the house is generally from below a complicated designed roof was not needed. The indoor outdoor flow to make the most of sun during the day has been achieved by a large tiled deck along the north-west side of the house. It also doubles as the roof to part of the lower large garage. A large single garage is provided adjacent to the Entry with internal access.
